Grenada Citizenship by Investment

The Grenada Citizenship by Investment program was established in 2013 and is widely considered to be one of the most attractive CBI programs. The country takes the first spot in the top ten Citizenship by Investment rankings of 2020.

This is due to Grenada’s low investment level, powerful passport and USA E-2 treaty. Other benefits of the Grenada Citizenship by Investment program include visa-free travel to over 140 countries including the Schengen States, the UK (6-month stay), Hong Kong, Singapore, PRC China (unique to the Caribbean CBI countries) and Russia as well as tax advantages and low government fees for families.

In order to apply for the Grenada Citizenship by Investment program you have to either;

1. make a contribution to the National Transformation Fund (NTF) starting at $150,000 for a single applicant and $200,000 for more than 1 person
2. make an investment of at least $220,000 in a government approved project. The property must also be held for a minimum of 5 years. Government fees and Due Diligence fees apply for the real estate option

Grenada is made up of 7 islands with a population of 107,825 (2017). The total area is 344 square kilometres and is the southernmost of the Eastern Caribbean States. Grenada’s neighbours consist of Venezuela and Trinidad & Tobago (South), Barbados (North-East), Curacao (West) and Saint Vincent & the Grenadines (North).

Grenada is a sovereign state, a member of Caricom, a member of the Commonwealth of Nations and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States. The capital is St George’s and Grenada is also known as the Spice Island.

Grenada is widely regarded as one of the region’s most beautiful islands with impressive sandy beaches, striking waterfalls, lush tropical forests and lies outside the hurricane belt. It is close to the equator and this ensures a year-round tropical climate, with average temperatures ranging between 23°c and 28°c.

Scheduled flights arrive daily into Grenada’s Maurice Bishop International Airport from New York, Miami, Atlanta, Toronto, Caracas, London, Frankfurt and a number of Caribbean countries. The airport also offers fixed-based operator services for private jets.
